Vintage French Copper Mixing Bowl

FRENCH COPPER MIXING BOWL
Although there are no markings on it that I can find to confirm that this bowl is French, a friend who had been travelling to France brought this back for me as a gift.
I believe this was back in the 1970’s.
It has been hanging decoratively on my kitchen wall since then, but never really used.
I have cleaned it as best I can with what little copper cleaner I had, but since I really know nothing about copper I was reluctant to rub hard so even though it nicely shines now, there are spots that can probably be polished out by someone more knowing than I.

The bowl’s stop opening is about 8 ¾” in diameter

The bottom diameter is about 4 ½” but it is highly curved and difficult to guesstimate.

It measures about 4” tall

The top lip of the bowl is nicely curved under making it easy to grasp while mixing.

There is a hinged “hoop” at the top to hang it up as I have done.
While this hoop does move, I cannot get it to set flat against the bowl.
I don’t know if it should do this, but I a reluctant to force it.
Perhaps it just needs a good cleaning and lubricating?

There look to be “scratches” on the bowl, but I believe these are superficial and were just caused by my inept cleaning even though a specialized copper polish was used.
