    Description

These Stetson boot lasts are antiques, having the term "Pat'd" (patented) and the date (June 25, 1907) carved into them.  They are adjustable (see photo) and have hand-grip posts so that the cordwainer can hold his creation securely.  Of course, they have slots along the vamp to facilitate removing the (almost-)finished leather shoe/boot from the last.
Also carved into the lasts is the term "The Stetson Shoe," although this probably refers to the Stetson company and not to the lasts because
    we think that
    this
pair of lasts was designed to make boots).  Stetson Boots are known for their strong & proud American heritage, and are symbols of the West.
