    Description

    Good morning all. Here is a pair of vintage Utica, Made in USA, triple diamond logo, Bell System side cutting pliers. These are both nice and clean with no nicks or gouges in the cutter jaws. Smooth handles (i.e. not knurled).
    The larger pliers are 5-1/2" pliers with number 242 5-1/2S (special?), with the little wire stripper hole.
    The smaller pliers are not marked with a Utica number. They have the groove that Utica Catalog calls an "insulation crusher", which I assume is to pull insulation off of the stripped wire (next to last picture), as well as what the Utica Catalog calls the "W notch" on the "back" sides of the jaws (last picture), but which the Catalog unhelpfully does not explain.
